Emergency Repair of Father Hurley Boulevard Recognized by CEAM.

WRA attended the County Engineers Association of Maryland Conference in Ocean City, MD last week. The Emergency Repairs for 66" CMP Culvert on Father Hurley Boulevard was given the Award of Merit - Medium Project. Danielle Conrow, CEAM President presented Brian Copley, Montgomery County, Mike Higgins, Concrete General, and Paul Duemmel, WRA with the award.

WRA Fundraiser for the Dream4It Foundation.

WRA employees donated $330 to the Dream4It Foundation through a jean day fundraiser. 

Among other initiatives, "the Dream4It Foundation raises funds to support numerous educational initiatives designed to provide youth with scholarships for higher education to empower them to successful careers."

WRA Supports Baltimore WTS.

WRA employees can't ignore a great cause, or pass up a great cupcake!

Members of the Baltimore Chapter of Women in Transportation (WTS) raised $236 at their annual cupcake fundraiser! The proceeds benefit the WTS Scholarship Fund in memory of Nicole Washington, a SHA and MDOT Engineer.

MD 210 Interchange Improvements.

WRA was responsible for the final design of the MD 210 Interchange Improvement Project as part of a design-build team of Concrete General, Inc./Whitman, Requardt and Associates, LLP.

MD 210 is a major connection between Washington DC and Prince George's and Charles Counties. Watch the video to see the $115.4 million improvements that will increase safety and decrease congestion along this heavily traveled road.

Back River Receives Recognition from ASCE MD.

The Enhanced Nutrient Removal at Back River Water Resource Recovery Facility was awarded the 2019 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement, Major Construction Project by the Maryland Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE MD).   Per Struck and City Staff accepted the award at the June 6th ASCE Meeting.

Duemmel and El-Gazairly to Present at 2019 IBC.

Paul Duemmel, PE and Loai El-Gazairly, Ph.D., P.E. will be presenting before the International Bridge Conference (IBC) about the post-tensioned straddle bents for the US 301 over SR1 project for Delaware Department of Transportation.

The IBC is being held from June 10-12, 2019 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. WRA is proud to sponsor this annual conference.

East Riverfront Wins Project of the Year.
