Historic.

We strive to preserve the past, renew spaces for the present, and transform sites and structures for the future.

WRA’s restoration and rehabilitation design leadership is recognized nationally and has participated in work at our nation’s most treasured iconic buildings and sites.  When preserving and updating historic facilities that are listed landmarks or considered heritage assets, our staff is sensitive to the particular needs and concerns to meet modern program and code requirements.  Recent projects include over two dozen sites on the National Register of Historic Places, which comprise the renovation, repair, and upgrade of structures for a range of building types such as federal office buildings, courthouses, municipal facilities, and industrial heritage sites.  The work completed on these structures has included master plans, new facility designs, renovations, expansions, façade repair and restoration, security assessments and upgrades, and window vulnerability studies and upgrades.
