US 301 Opens in Delaware.

Paul Duemmel, Sarah Proctor, Bryan Townsend, and Loai El-Gazairly attended the ribbon cutting for US Route 301. WRA’s 5.5 mile freeway design features a new interchange with SR 1, which merges traffic from US 301, SR 1’s EZ-Pass lanes and cash toll plaza, and a ramp from US 13.

According to DelDOT, this project "improves safety, manages truck traffic, and reduces congestion; supports approved and proposed economic development in southern New Castle County (a key Delaware growth area); enhances the region's ability to compete for economic development; creates needed jobs; improves local access to the Northeast Corridor Rail (Amtrak), commuter rail (SEPTA) and bus (DART) services; improves livability in the region and reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions."
