Mays-Burton Barn Renovation.
Recent structural engineering hire Samantha Arenberg, EIT and Senior Vice President Jeff Giza, PE of WRA’s structural/marine group were on hand to observe 3D laser scanning of the historic Mays-Burton Barn on the campus of Hereford High School in Parkton, MD. The Mays-Burton barn is a 161 year old bank barn on the Baltimore County Final Landmarks list. Utilizing a drone and fixed equipment, the barn’s exterior and interior has been mapped. The final processed data will be utilized for plan creation to support the preservation efforts. WRA is providing the structural, civil and historic preservation services for the project under a contract with Baltimore County Public Schools.
