UMD Engineers Without Borders Ghana Project .

Padraic Gray (Baltimore, Water/Wastewater) and a group of students from the University of Maryland chapter of Engineers Without Borders (UMD EWB) Ghana Project team completed a trip to the Sumaman High School in Suma Ahenkro, Ghana over the 2016 Winter Break.

During this trip, the UMD EWB team completed the implementation work for a solar electric power system and completed an initial assessment for developing a water storage and supply project for the school.  These projects will help the school and students by providing a constant source of power to the school during the frequent utility outages and deliver safe and reliable drinking water for approximately 600 students.
