Water Resources.
Water resource considerations are an increasingly critical factor in the design of site infrastructure, and WRA designs SWM best management practices and erosion and sediment control plans for each project to meet regulatory requirements and to minimize maintenance and aesthetic concerns.
WRA has designed stormwater management facilities and erosion and sediment control plans for projects ranging in size from less than an acre up to more than 800 acres. SWM regulations have changed dramatically over the past 20 years, and our staff is well versed and experienced in how the regulations impact site design, permitting, construction, and maintenance considerations for a project. We work closely with our clients to determine whether or not alternative techniques and practices are appropriate for each project. Our designs incorporate a balance of sensitivity to the natural environment, familiarity with regulatory policies, and an awareness of the effectiveness of each practice and its associated cost.
