Westminster Maintenance Facility. Westminster, Maryland.

The Westminster Maintenance Facility mechanical systems were inefficient and necessitated major system renovations.

A comprehensive renovation project was undertaken to replace the HVAC systems for the administration building and vehicle maintenance shops with new systems consisting of gas fired VAV rooftop HVAC units, high efficiency boilers, VAV terminal units, upgraded ventilation, heat recovery ventilation units, and a new building automation system and fire alarm system.    WRA provided commissioning during the design, construction and occupancy phases, working closely with representatives of the owner, and design and construction team.  During construction, WRA performed site visits and led the functional testing process to verify that the new systems were installed and operating according to the design requirements.  Through the commissioning process, many issues were identified and successfully resolved.
