CSX Riverside Yard – Voluntary Cleanup Program. City of Baltimore, Maryland.

MTA was investigating the feasibility of acquiring the Riverside facility on the Camden Line in the City of Baltimore, Maryland. Riverside Yard was constructed in the late 1800s and was part of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Line.

Historical land uses included large quantity fuel storage, on-site treatment of runoff and locomotive maintenance. WRA was responsible for the initial due diligence and coordinated closely with CSX on historical land use records and regulatory site requirements. WRA worked with the MTA Planning Division to assess the practical future land use of this property and enrollment in the MDE Voluntary Cleanup Program.
